Great news! Crunchyroll announced at Fanime that it also be streaming Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal. The first episode will stream Saturday, July 5 at 6:00 am Pacific Daylight Time and then the first and third Saturday of every month. The series will also be simulcast on Hulu (U.S.), Viz’s Neon Alley (U.S.) and worldwide on the Japanese Nico Nico website (good luck navigating that). Crunchyroll states that more information is to come regarding available territories, implying that it may not be completely worldwide.

I’d been thinking about getting a premium membership and a Roku to watch Crunchyroll on TV for a while, and this was the final push I needed!

For those who don’t know, the songs aren’t subtitled on Hulu and Crunchyroll because that would require getting an additional licence from the music company/artists, resulting in delays in delivering the episodes. Simulcasts would be impossible. Of course, that’s what DVD/blu-ray releases are for.
